STATEMENT OF COMPETENCE - PLANNING SUPERVISOR

CONSTRUCTION (DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS 1994 (CDM)

 

THE PRACTICE
Danks Badnell LLP is registered with the Royal Institute of British Architects' Directory of Practices, and is compliant with the terms of registration.The Practice is registered with the RIBA Register of Planning Supervisor Practices, and is compliant with the terms of registration.The Practice is actively committed to improving Health & Safety within the advancement of Design and Architecture.All staff with design or project management responsibility hold full RIBA or British Institute of Architectural Technicians (BIAT) qualifications. The Practice consists of a base hardcore of two senior Architects, two Architect Associates, two further 'Part 3' Architects and two BIAT Technicians.

The Practice in involved in projects in Private and Public residential, Industrial and Office commercial, Educational and Interior Refitting sectors.

ORGANISATION
The Practice operates within agreed systems recorded within a Practice Management Handbook. Systems are progressively reviewed and updated.The Practice through normal day-to-day activity is experienced in the roles of designer, co-ordinator for design and construction disciplines, and inspector of works on site.The Practice is committed to a progressive policy of advancement on Health & Safety matters. The Practice has historically taken positive account of Health & Safety, Staff Welfare, and Fire Prevention legislation relative to the Construction Industry.

Persons operating as Planning Supervisor will have attended RIBA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses on CDM.

THE PLANNING SUPERVISOR
The name of the responsible person(s) operating as Planning Supervisor within the Practice for a particular project will be stated in the Letter of Appointment. The Partner in charge on Health & Safety within the Practice is Roger Danks.

The anticipated allocation of resources specific to the Planning Supervisor's responsibilities for each project will be clearly stated in the fee agreement accompanying the Letter of Appointment.

CURRICULUM VITAE
Roger Danks is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, elected to Chartered Membership in April 1978, registration number 3934417. Through the period since election Roger Danks has been in Private Practice since 1986. The majority of projects directly managed by Roger Danks in early years involved the retail sector, particularly with International Stores, Gateway and Holland & Barratt with works of refitting and extension of value £1m - £4m. Health & Safety discipline was paramount. Later years' projects have been largely in the commercial office and industry sector value £300K - £4.5m.
