4 Storey Apartment Building, Lewisham, London

Planning Permission was achieved for a contemporary three and four storey residential redevelopment of a brownfield site to provide 20 apartments with a mix of typologies, including duplex apartments with terraces. Developed as a contemporary design with classical proportions, the building successfully creates a visual bridge between two disparate neighbouring buildings. We incorporated a contrasting palette of materials including dark blue brindle brickwork with stone banding and colonnade.

Challenges within the planning process included establishing the loss of the existing vacant care home on the site, designing in a confined site with varying site levels, neighbouring buildings and trees.
